Attadale spreads over twenty acres of woodland, water gardens and Japanese-inspired planting below the mountains of Wester Ross, on the shore of Loch Carron. Rhododendrons, ferns and sculpture are threaded through paths and bridges around a series of ponds. It’s open spring to autumn with an admission charge — and unusually for these parts, the train stops almost at the gate, at the request halt of Attadale.
