Lamlash is Arran’s biggest village, set along a sheltered bay that faces Holy Isle just offshore. A seasonal ferry runs across to the island, now a Buddhist retreat, and the calm water is a favourite for kayaking and gentle shore walks. It’s a short hop over the hill from the main Brodick ferry.
