A turf-roofed log cabin tucked in the woods on the path up to the Eas Mòr waterfall near Kildonan, on the Isle of Arran. Built from timber brought down in the 1998 storms, it is left open as an honesty library — shelves of books alongside drawings and notes left by walkers who have passed through.
The Library in the Woods is an attraction in North Ayrshire. The nearest other notable spot is Stonesthrow Sauna, Whiting Bay, 5.8 km to the north-east.
