Local highlightThese twin villages sit close together on the Rame Peninsula, a huddle of colour-washed cottages looking across Plymouth Sound. Once notorious for smuggling, they are now a quiet corner reached down narrow lanes, with small beaches and a coast path out to Rame Head. Devonport station is about 5km north-east, though the seasonal Cawsand ferry from Plymouth is the nicer way in.
