A great sweep of parkland on the tip of the Rame Peninsula, looking straight across Plymouth Sound to the city. It’s the earliest landscaped park in Cornwall and one of only three here graded the top rank, laid out around a Tudor house the Edgcumbe family built when they left Cotehele. Formal Italian, French and English gardens sit near the sea. Reach it on the little Cremyll foot ferry from Plymouth; the park is free to roam.
