Laurel and Hardy Museum
Local highlightStan Laurel was born in Ulverston in 1890, and the town repays him with this cheerfully cluttered museum stuffed with Laurel and Hardy photos, props and memorabilia, plus a little cinema running the films on a loop. It’s a labour of love more than a slick attraction, which is much of its charm. Paid admission, in the middle of town near the market. Good fun for an hour, whatever the weather’s doing.
