The Grand Pier reaches out over the sands at Weston-super-Mare, its pavilion packed with rides, arcades and places to eat. The 1904 pavilion burned down in 2008 and was rebuilt within two years, bigger than before. Walking the deck is free; the rides are paid. Weston-super-Mare station is about a kilometre inland.
