A high-street pub in Kingussie, the old capital of Badenoch, with real ales, a wall of whiskies and hearty food. It’s a friendly, down-to-earth local, well placed for walks in the Cairngorms and a look round the Highland Folk Museum nearby. The station is a couple of minutes away, and the grander Duke of Gordon Hotel is just up the street.
