The Ben Cruachan Inn stands right by the water at Lochawe village, under the great bulk of Ben Cruachan itself. It’s a straightforward loch-side pub and restaurant on the A85, a useful stop between Oban and Tyndrum. Loch Awe station is barely a couple of minutes’ walk away on the Oban line, so it’s an easy one to reach without a car.
