Twmpa, saddled with the English nickname Lord Hereford’s Knob, is a 689m peak on the north-west scarp of the Black Mountains. It sits just above Gospel Pass, which makes it one of the easier tops in the range to reach: park at the pass and follow the track west up onto the summit. From there the ground falls away sharply to the Wye valley, with the whole northern edge of the mountains in view.
