Two ponds in the middle of the Forest of Dean, dug in the 19th century to feed an ironworks and now a calm spot for a short walk. An easy path loops around the water, popular with families and dog walkers, and there’s a car park alongside. Free to visit, and a good leg-stretch if you’re touring the forest.
