Ford Park Cemetery
Open accessfree to visit at any reasonable time
Ford Park opened in 1848 as Plymouth’s answer to the new Victorian garden cemeteries, its winding paths climbing through mature trees and elaborate memorials to merchants, mariners and a scattering of war graves. It fell derelict after the original cemetery company folded, until a charitable trust took it over in 2000, cleared the undergrowth and reopened it as a working cemetery. The grounds are free to walk through daily. Plymouth station is a five-minute walk away.
