Shetland Reel is Britain’s most northerly distillery, up at Saxa Vord on Unst, where they’ve been making award-winning gin since 2014 (with whisky in the plans). It’s a genuine edge-of-the-country dram. Tours run by arrangement, so it’s worth checking ahead before you make the trip north past Haroldswick.
