Oban Distillery has been going since 1794 — older than much of the town that grew up around it — and with just two pot stills it’s one of Scotland’s smallest. It sits right in the middle of Oban on Stafford Street, so the visitor centre and tours are a two-minute walk from the ferry pier and the train station. Book tours ahead in summer, as slots are limited.
