Just a couple of miles north of Oban at the end of the coast road, Ganavan Sands is the town’s handy beach, a proper stretch of sand with views out to Mull, Morvern and the low green island of Lismore. There’s a car park behind it, and being so close to town it’s an easy escape after the ferries. Oban station is about 3km back along the shore.
