Kerry Vale is a small family vineyard on the Welsh border near Chirbury, six acres planted with Rondo, Pinot Noir, Phoenix and Solaris. Those go into still and sparkling wines, among them a red called Offa’s Shadow and a dry white named Shropshire Lady. Guided tours run Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, walking you through the vines to a tasting, and a wine café does coffee and lunch through the season. Welshpool station is about 9km north.
