Owned by the same family since 1865, Glenfarclas is one of Speyside’s independents, sat at Ballindalloch and known for rich sherry-cask malts. Tastings are held in the Ships Room, panelled with woodwork saved from an old ocean liner. Tours are paid, and it’s a good way from any railway, so you’ll be driving in.
