St Andrew’s at Didling is known as the Shepherds’ Church, standing on its own below the Downs with no electricity and no near neighbours. It’s lit by candles, with worn medieval benches and a plain, barely-altered interior. Usually open, though it’s a remote spot down narrow lanes. Petersfield station is about 11km to the north-west.
