Half of Dunkeld Cathedral is roofed and half is open to the sky, which makes for an odd and rather lovely walk through it. The choir, finished in 1350, is the parish church and still holds Sunday worship; the nave and tower beyond lost their roof after the Reformation and are kept as a ruin by Historic Environment Scotland. It stands among trees on the bank of the Tay, just below Dunkeld.
