Halaman Bay (Tangasdale) is a wide, surf-washed beach on the west coast of Barra, below the Isle of Barra Beach Hotel. It faces the full Atlantic, so there’s usually a swell and a breeze — good for a bracing walk rather than a lazy paddle. It’s right on the A888 ring road.
