The east-facing bay on Vatersay, a curve of white sand with the hill of Heaval and Castlebay in view across the water. Vatersay is the last inhabited island in the Barra chain, joined to Barra by a causeway since 1991, so you can drive straight to it. Parking is near the village hall, a few steps from the sand.
