Allasdale Beach
Local highlightAllasdale (Traigh Hamara) is a sweep of white shell sand on the west coast of Barra, opening straight onto the open Atlantic. It sits right on the A888 ring road, so it’s an easy stop as you circle the island — dunes and machair behind, and more often than not the place to yourself.
