A quiet cove near Kirkcudbright, reached down a wooded path that keeps the crowds away. It’s a favourite for rock-pooling once the tide drops, with plenty of nooks to poke about in. The path down is steep, so decent footwear helps, and keep an eye on the tide while you’re among the rocks.
