Osmington is a quiet village of stone cottages under the downs east of Weymouth. Cut into the chalk hill above is the Osmington White Horse, a hill figure of George III on horseback made in 1808. John Constable spent part of his honeymoon in the village and painted the bay below. The coast path is a short walk away.
