Llandudno curves between the Great and Little Ormes, a Victorian resort that kept its long crescent of seafront hotels intact. The pier, at 700m, is the longest in Wales, and a tramway climbs the Great Orme behind the town. The main beach runs along the North Shore; the quieter West Shore faces the Conwy estuary.
