Hushinish (Huisinis) is where the road runs out in north-west Harris — a tiny crofting hamlet with a lovely white beach at the end of one of Scotland’s most memorable single-track drives. The road threads right past the gates of Amhuinnsuidhe Castle and along the sea loch to get you here. It’s a fair way from Tarbert and slow going, so allow plenty of time for the run.
