Getting to Hushinish is half the point: a long, spectacular single-track road winds all the way out to the north-west corner of Harris, ending at a white-sand beach with views across to the island of Scarp. There’s a car park at the road end. It’s a fair old drive from Tarbert, but the beach and the road there are both worth it.
