The Gloup is a dramatic collapsed sea cave in the Mull Head reserve on Deerness — a deep chasm in the cliffs, still joined to the open sea by a tunnel, so the water surges and booms far below the viewing platform. The name comes from an Old Norse word for a chasm. It’s a short, easy walk from the Mull Head car park, and safely railed.
