Deerness Distillery is a family-run set-up out on the East Mainland, self-built and going since 2016, making gin, vodka and liqueurs from a row of copper stills. There’s a shop of local produce and the Dashing Deer kitchen and bar for a bite, a coffee or a wee dram, and you can book a tour to see how it all works. A friendly, unpretentious stop.
