A museum, gallery and cafe on the waterfront at Lochmaddy, the main village on North Uist. It’s a good rainy-day stop — island history downstairs and changing contemporary art upstairs, with a decent cafe for coffee and cake. Handy too if you’re waiting on the Uig ferry across to Skye.
