Berneray’s West Beach (Tràigh Iar) is a three-mile arc of empty white sand — so good-looking that in 2009 a photo of it was used to advertise a beach in Thailand. It’s a short walk over the dunes from the Berneray road, and even in summer you’ll often have the whole stretch to yourself.
