Scotland’s southernmost point, a dramatic cliff headland where the land runs out into the Irish Sea. A Stevenson lighthouse of 1830 crowns the tip, and the cliffs and grassland are an RSPB reserve alive with seabirds through spring and summer. There’s a visitor centre and café up top, and on a good day you can see across to Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Lakeland fells. Very much the end of the road — come by car.
