The signpost at John o’ Groats marks the traditional end of the Land’s End to John o’ Groats journey, up in the far north-east corner of the British mainland (though nearby Dunnet Head is actually the northernmost point). It stands by the harbour, pointing out distances to Land’s End and other spots, and the photo-op version is privately run and seasonal. Wick is the nearest station, about 22km to the south.
