This bronze memorial to the WWII Commandos stands on a rise a mile north of Spean Bridge, three figures in fighting order looking south to Ben Nevis and Aonach Mòr. It was unveiled by the Queen Mother in 1952, close to the training ground at Achnacarry where the commandos were put through their paces. There’s a car park right off the A82.
