Achnacarry, the ancestral seat of Clan Cameron, sits on the neck of land between Loch Lochy and Loch Arkaig. During the Second World War the estate became the tough training base for the Allied Commandos, and a small clan museum tells that story alongside the family history. It’s off the B8005 north of Spean Bridge.
