Welsh Water runs this sauna next to the visitor centre at Llyn Brenig, the reservoir up on the Denbigh Moors. Sessions follow a Nordic cycle: after a short briefing you swap between timed spells in the cold water and the sauna, finishing with a warm-up in the heat. You wade in to waist depth or sit down to your shoulders, but no face-dunking. There’s a 20°C plunge pool if the reservoir is too much.
