A thatched, 13th-century inn on Exmoor’s southern edge that made its name with Mark Dodson’s Michelin-starred cooking, all low beams, fireplaces and views over rolling hills. The Two Moors Way passes right by the door, so a meal slots easily into a walk, perhaps out across the heath of Hare’s Down and Rackenford Moor nearby.
