The Griffin sits right on the waterfront at Dale, a sailing village on a sheltered bay near the mouth of Milford Haven. Tables look out over the moorings, and it has a name for crab and other local seafood in season. The Marloes peninsula and Marloes Sands are within reach for a walk. Milford Haven station is about 9km east.
