A relaxed bar and restaurant right beside the Caledonian Canal in Fort Augustus, good for food after a day on the water or the hills. It sits close to the canal’s flight of locks, which is the village’s main spectacle as boats work their way up and down. If you’d rather be right on the lock staircase itself, The Lock Inn is just along the towpath.
