An 18th-century coaching inn beside the bridge over the Coquet at Weldon Bridge, the Anglers Arms has long fed anglers and passing travellers, and still does a good line in hearty local food. There are rooms if you’re breaking a journey, and the river runs right past the garden. Acklington station is about 9km east.
