The Polochar Inn sits right at the south-western tip of South Uist, at the end of the B888, looking straight across the Sound of Barra. It’s an old coaching inn with a bar and rooms, and a fine place to settle in with the sea in front of you while you wait on the Barra ferry from Eriskay just to the west.
