On the shore of Loch Fyne, Inver draws its seasonal tasting menu from Scotland’s wild larder of local seafood, foraged hedgerows and neighbouring producers, with sustainability treated as the ground it stands on. Views reach across the water to ruined Old Castle Lachlan, whose remains at Lachlan Castle make a good short outing; the colourful Crarae Garden lies a little further up the loch.
