A ring of tumbled dry-stone walling crowns the hill above Corwen, where Caer Drewyn’s Iron Age ramparts guard the western mouth of the Dee Valley. It’s an open-access climb from the town, with long views up the river and across the Berwyn foothills. Local tradition ties the old fort to Owain Gwynedd and, later, Owain Glyndŵr mustering their men on the hill.
