Wynyard Park is the landscaped estate around Wynyard Hall, laid out in the early 19th century for the 3rd Marquess of Londonderry, possibly by William Sawrey Gilpin, with an obelisk and two temples scattered through some 300 hectares of parkland. The hall itself is now a hotel and wedding venue, but the walled garden opens separately as the Gardens at Wynyard Hall — roses, a wild garden, a farm shop and café, open daily on a ticket or annual pass. Wynyard Woodland Park, a free country park, sits just southwest, and Hardwick Park is another historic landscape nearby.
