A 100-foot totem pole from British Columbia stands on the bank at Virginia Water, one of several oddities around this ornamental lake in Windsor Great Park. There’s a cascade rebuilt for George III, and a folly raised from Roman columns shipped over from Leptis Magna in Libya. A level path rings the whole lake, roughly four and a half miles of it. Free to walk; Sunningdale station is about 3km south-west.
