Around Foulis Castle, the seat of Clan Munro near Evanton, lie some eight acres of garden: an arboretum, a courtyard garden, ponds and an old kitchen garden. It opens on selected days for Scotland’s Gardens Scheme. The clan’s Storehouse of Foulis on the firth shore is nearby for lunch. Dingwall station is about 7km to the south-west.
