Chatelherault Country Park is built around a grand hunting lodge that William Adam designed for the Duke of Hamilton in the 1730s, its long ornamental frontage backed by formal parterres. Beyond the gardens, paths lead through the old estate to the ancient Cadzow oaks and a wooded river gorge. The visitor centre and grounds are free, and the station of the same name is right beside it.
