The Orkney Distillery stands right on the Kirkwall waterfront, making its Kirkjuvagr gin from local island botanicals. There’s a visitor centre and bar, and guided tours run through the day where you can learn how the gin is made and have a taste. Hours are longer over the summer and cut back out of season, so check ahead if you’re visiting in spring or autumn.
