Crathie Kirk is the small granite church on Deeside where the royal family worship when they’re staying at nearby Balmoral — a habit going back to Queen Victoria, who laid the foundation stone in 1893. The Gothic Revival building was completed in 1895. It’s open to visitors seasonally and free to look round, though do check the times before making the trip.
