Three Anglo-Saxon crosses, carved in the 8th century, are the treasures of All Saints’ in Ilkley — once weathering out in the churchyard, now brought inside for shelter. The church stands close to the remains of the Roman fort that gave the town its start, just off the main street. Open most days, and only a couple of minutes from Ilkley station if you’re arriving by train from Leeds or Bradford.
